Freedom of Speech
"Freedom of speech is being able to speak freely without censorship. But wikipedia does not allow freedom of speech. The right to freedom of speech is guaranteed under international law through numerous human-rights instruments, notably under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights, although implementation remains lacking in many countries. The synonymous term freedom of expression is sometimes preferred, since the right is not confined to verbal speech but is understood to protect any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used. In practice, the right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country, although the degree of freedom varies greatly. Industrialized countries also have varying approaches to balance freedom with order. For instance, the United States First Amendment theoretically grants absolute freedom, placing the burden upon the state to demonstrate when (if) a limitation of this freedom is necessary. In almost all liberal democracies, it is generally recognized that restrictions should be the exception and free expression the rule; nevertheless, compliance with this principle is often lacking." Our definition of the Freedom of Speech: The Freedom of Speech is an inalienable right given not by man but by God to all men and women. The Freedom of Speech is a freedom and a right to speak freely about things and express yourself. The Freedom of Speech does not give you the right to slander, express racism, expose others to sexual things, or use profanity. The freedom of speech allows for negative comments and criticism but with the use of articulate words beyond 4 letters. (not the F word)
If you are going to use the F word you should at lest use it in the proper context. The Definition of the F word is "to Fornicate Under The Consent Of The King". So if you haven't gone to England or written to the king and asked for permission to fornicate please don't use this word. Under this context it would mean that anyone that was married in England with the blessing of the King would have the right to use this word. Now thats an articulate way of thinking.
Incorrect usage of words such as Shit are reasons why we need such restrictions and laws against these kinds of words. Shit is manure or fecal matter. Crap should be used to describe the same thing.
I could go on and on about these different words and if some one wants to write out these 4 letter words and edit this page they can if they ask my permission first.
Why Must I (Justin Breithaupt) Protect This Freedom?
I am an Eagle Scout and as such I am obligated and honored to take on the responsibilities of an Eagle Scout.
The Eagle Scout Charge
The foremost responsibility of an Eagle Scout is to live with honor. To an Eagle Scout, honor is the foundation of all character. He knows that "A Scout is trustworthy" is the very first point of the Scout Law for good reason. An Eagle Scout lives honorably, not only because honor is important to him but because of the vital significance of the example he sets for other Scouts. Living honorably reflects credit on his home, his church, his troop, and his community. May the white of the Eagle badge remind you to always live with honor. The second obligation of an Eagle Scout is loyalty. A Scout is true to his family, Scout leaders, friends, school, and nation. His loyalty to his troop and brother Scouts makes him pitch in and carry his share of the load. All of these help to build the loyalty which means devotion to community, to country, to one's own ideals, and to God. Let the blue of the Eagle badge always inspire your loyalty. The third obligation of the Eagle Scout is to be courageous. Courage has always been a quality by which men measure themselves and others. To a Scout, bravery means not only the courage to face physical danger, but the determination to stand up for the right. Trusting in God, with faith in his fellowman, he looks forward to each day, seeking his share of the world's work to do. Let the red in the Eagle badge remind you always of courage. The fourth obligation of an Eagle Scout is to be cheerful. To remind the Eagle Scout to always wear a smile, the red, white, and blue ribbon is attached to the scroll of the Second Class Scout award, which has its ends turned up in a smile. The final responsibility of an Eagle Scout is service. The Eagle Scout extends a helping hand to those who still toil up Scouting's trail, just as others helped him in his climb to the Eagle. The performance of the daily Good Turn takes on a new meaning when he enters a more adult life continuing service to others. The Eagle stands as protector of the weak and helpless. He aids and comforts the unfortunate and the oppressed. He upholds the rights of others while defending his own. He will always "Be Prepared" to put forth his best. You deserve much credit for having achieved Scouting's highest award. But wear your award with humility, ever mindful that the Eagle Scout is looked up to as an example. May the Scout Oath and the Scout Law be your guide for tomorrow and onward.I reaffirm my allegiance
to the three promises of the Scout Oath
I thoughtfully recognize and take upon myself
the obligations and responsibilities of the rank of Eagle Scout
On my honor
I will do my best
to make my training an example
my rank and my influence count strongly
for better Scouting
and for better citizenship
in my troop
and in my community
and in my contacts with other people
to this I pledge my sacred honor.
The Scout Law:
A Scout Is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Curious, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
The Scout Oath:
On my honor
I promise to do my best
To do my duty
To God and my country (notice God is mentioned here)
To obey the Scout Law (mentioned above)
To help other people at all times (not just when I'm at a scout meeting)
To keep myself physically fit
Mentally awake
and Morally Straight. (This includes not being perverted among other things)
We are not done yet.
My Grandfather John Jardee fought in World War II for my freedoms and he had to fight his whole life to protect his family and country. As a child he had to quit school in order to support his brothers and mother, after that he took care of his family of four including my mother and unkle as well as his wife. Times were hard and he had to do a lot of manual labor. He was an honorable man that knew what freedom ment and what good morals stood for. If it was not for him I would not have a lot of the curage and determination I have to day as well as the morals I live by.
When a person says that he or she thinks that we should just give all our freedoms away to the illegal imegrents for free and allow them to vote and take over our country it really gets to me. What about our rights as American citicens? What happened to them? Who is more likely to get a job today in America?
My Grandfather worked his whole life so that his future generations might have it better here in the USA. I will never forget his sacrifice he made for our family. I know I have it much easier than he did but I can never take what I have for grantade or everything he worked for will be lost. If I become lasy and stop standing up for what he believed in and I believe in than his ambition and drive will have died with him.
Of course all of this was provided to me and my family threw the Lord Jesus Christ and I'll try not to forget that.
